Google Day in Band Monday

This post is a little late, because the Google Day was monday and now it its wednesday. During the Google Day i got a good amount of practice on my reed solo, and apparently am going to perform it live. In the reed -making sense, i just clipped the tip of a couple of my reeds. But that is not the end of making them so i have a while to go. I will probably be able to play one of my homemade reeds for my reed duet. That would be really cool.

Coming along well

I have finished writing the solo that i will perform, and i just need to practice it on my reeds. Speaking of reeds, i have been working with my bassoon teacher and i will have a couple of reeds that i made soon, so i will maybe be able to play my solo on those! That would be exciting. :)

Google day in band today

Today was a google day in band. I discovered that it is really hard to get a reed to play E flat or G all by itself. Also, I may just write a solo because it's really hard to write a duet when you can only choose from 5 notes to play.

Im pretty much done composing

I've finished writing up the composition for my reed duet, but im not quite sure how it sounds because i can't move the piano next to the computer or the computer next to the piano and the garage band piano is really hard to play. I will figure out a way to make it work though, and start on the actual reed playing soon.

I can't think of a title

I finished a few more bars of my duet, and it's taking a while. I also discovered the fish gadget. :)

I've started working on my music

I have to write a duet for my reeds, because as i recently discovered, they can only play from C to G with good tone. So, i have started to write and experiment with my reeds. However, i can't practice for very long, because if i do, then my mom will make me stop practicing because she just can't stand to hear another peep out of my reed. I can understand, because it does sound slightly annoying. It's going well so far though.
